With stunning Andean scenery, an amazing diversity of flora and fauna, the comfort of mountain lodges, several days of hiking and exploring the ancient Inca Empire, an opportunity to visit the Inca Trail’s most breathtaking site (Wiñaywayna), and a full day to explore Machu Picchu; On our first day we take a lovely hike to the archeological complex of Winay Wayna, then follow the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. After spending the night in Aguas Calientes, we have the entire second day to explore Machu Picchu.

SHORT INCA TRAIL - TOURS DEATILS
Day 1: Cusco – Km 104 – Sun Gate – Machu Picchu
- Pickup from the hotel and transfer you with a private transportation to the train station in Ollantaytambo them take the train to km 104 the starting point of the short Inca Trail hike
- Hike to Machu Picchu/Bus to Aguas Calientes

Day 2: Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Cusco
- Early breakfast at hotel
- Bus up to Machu Picchu (30 minutes)
- Tour in Machu Picchu
- Climb to Huayna Picchu (advanced booking required)
- Afternoon train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo /Poroy
- Transfer from train station to Cusco hotel
- Train times at 2:55pm, 4:45 pm, or 6:45pm depending on availability at Peru Rail
Day 1: Cusco – Km 104 – Sun Gate – Machu Picchu
We take the early morning Expedition train from Cusco through the picturesque Sacred Valley to Km 104, where we enter the trail. Our hike continues gently upwards for approximately 4 hours until we reach the beautiful Inca complex of Winay Wayna, where we stop to eat a nutritious and plentiful bagged lunch. Sub-tropical flora and fauna surrounds us as we continue 2 hours to the Sun Gate, from where we will see Machu Picchu. We will walk down past the majestic ruins, and then take the bus to Aguas Calientes to spend a relaxing night in a comfortable hotel Waman*.
* These exact accommodations are not guaranteed. In some instances alternative accommodations of similar quality and location may be used.

Day 2: Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Cusco
After breakfast and an early start, we take a 30 minute bus ride up to the Machu Picchu ruins, where we will tour the amazing architecture and mysterious temples left by the Incas. A professional, English-speaking guide will help us understand the sophisticated ideas and technology of this highly-advanced culture. Once the official tour is completed, we will have plenty of time to explore the Sanctuary on our own before returning to Cusco by train in the afternoon.

Inca Trail & Alternative & Adventure Trek to MachuPicchu Packing Check LIST
During the Alternatuve Trek or Inca Trail to Machu Picchu your main luggage will be stored in Cuzco at your hotel or free storage in our office and you will receive a small duffle bag at your trek briefing (which will be help briefing day before you start the trek) to pack clothes and sleeping bag for 3-4 days.
