DESCRIPCION
Arrival in Lima- Cusco
Day 1. Flight Lima to Cusco and city tour in Cusco
You arrive in the city of Cusco and are taken to your hotel, where the rest of the morning is free time to rest and to acclimate yourself to the elevation. The afternoon is set aside for a tour of the incredible colonial city, whose buildings the Spanish constructed on top of the foundations of Incan palaces. You begin at the Korikancha, the Temple of the Sun, to witness the exquisite stone work achieved by the Incas. Next stop is the Main Square for a tour of the Cathedral to see its fabulous wood carvings and impressive altars and the lovely Church of La Compañia de Jesus (Society of Christ). Following that, you head upwards to Sacsayhuaman, a fortress located in a strategic spot high above the city with a view that is absolutely stunning. You will also visit some other archaeological complexes such as Kenko and Tambomachay, and you will have a panoramic view of Puca Pucara. Accomodations for the night in Cusco.
Day 2 : Sacred Valley Tour
Explore the beautiful Peruvian countryside with a full-day tour of the magical Sacred Valley. First, you will visit the town of Pisac, famous for its bustling market and beautiful Incan ruins that loom over the city. In the market you will have the opportunity to browse the beautiful handicrafts and Andean garments displayed for sale as well as local fruits, vegetables, and other natural products. While at the Pisac ruins you will be able to see ceremonial and cemetery areas, as well as amazing views of Pisac and the surrounding valley from above.
Following your visit to Pisac, you will stop for lunch (not included) at a buffet restaurant offering a variety of Peruvian and international food near the town of Urubamba.
Next, you will visit the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo. These magnificent ancient ruins provide a great vantage point over the Sacred Valley. Originally the royal estate of Emperor Pachacuti during the Inca Empire, this site later served as a stronghold for Manco Inca Yupanqui in the final resistance effort against the Spanish.
In the evening, you will be taken to your comfortable hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Day. 3 – Short Inca trail (first day)
We will take the train from Poroy station where we will begin our journey. On the train, the guide will begin to point out different mountains and landscapes and introduces you to the valley. After two hours, we will get off the train at the trailhead at the marker “104 km.” After a short rest, we will begin our hike. The first archaeological center we will visit That is Chachabamba at 7,380 feet (2,250 meters). Then, we will Gradually ascend for approximately three hours, towards the fascinating archaeological site Winaywayna at 8,690 feet (2,650 m). Here, we will learn about the site, enjoy the its charm and have lunch. After resting, we will continue through the semi-tropical forest towards Intipunku (the Sun Gate), the place where we will enjoy the first panoramic view of the citadel of Machu Picchu. You will have time to take in the impressive mountains and deep valleys That surround the Sun Gate. You can Also see the Urubamba River from the gate. From Sun Gate, we will descend for 30 minutes towards Machupicchu and upon arrival to the city, we will rest and take pictures. Then, we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night. If you would like, you can soak in the medicinal Also hot springs in the town.
Day 4 -. Machupicchu (second day)
On the second day, we will wake up very early to take the first bus to the city of Machupicchu, where we will be the first visitors of the day to enjoy the magic and mystery of one of the wonders of the world. The tour with your guide will take around 2-3 hours. After, you will have free time to explore the city on your own Entire. In the afternoon, we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes to board the train to Cusco.
*Optional: Hike up Huayna Picchu, the peak overlooking the Machu Picchu ruins. This hike is steep and takes about 3 hours round trip, but has remarkable views. Please let your Travel Advisor know if you’d like to add this to your itinerary.
Day 5 : Cusco – Andes – Cloud Forest – Manu Park
Accommodation: Manu Paradise Lodge, San Pedro Region of Manu Meals: Box lunch, dinner with snacks On the first day of your Manu Amazon Rainforest tour, we will depart at 6:30 am in the morning from your hotel in Cusco. During the 3 hour drive, we will pass through some interesting valleys and picturesque communities on the way to the highlands of the beautiful Paucartambo. We will take a break here and stretch our legs prior to the next 1 hour drive to tres Cerves pass, where we will enjoy the amazing distant views. Another 1 hour drive will take us to the tunnels of Manu where we will enjoy our deluxe box lunch as our guides prepare our bikes and safety gear. From here, we will start cycling for 3 hours, downhill to Pilcopata, which is considered the entrance to the Amazon Jungle. Following the cycle ride, we will continue driving into the cloud forest. This area is rich with endemic species like the Cock of The Rock, the Speckled Bear, and a wide variety of bromeliads, orchids, and ferns. You will love spending the first night of the Manu tour in a very nice, comfortable, rustic, jungle lodge. Before dinner, we will enjoy hot drinks and snacks together with our guide, while discussing the importance of today’s sites and plan out tomorrow’s itinerary. This evening we will keep a watch out for the many species of monkeys and the native Cock of the Rock bird from our lodge’s deck overlooking the surrounding jungle. *The bonus activity included* Cycling: You will get the opportunity to enjoy cycling to Pillcopata, the entrance of the jungle to view many flora and fauna.
Day 6.- Cloud Forest – Manu Park
Accommodation: Soga de Oro Lodge, Manu Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner with snacks On the second day of the Manu Amazon Rainforest tour, following breakfast, we will drive 1.5 hours to the village of Atalaya, along the way stopping in at a jungle farmer’s home. Here we will be introduced to many animals native to this region of the Manu rainforest. From Atalaya, we will take a boat through the cloud forest deep into the jungle. On the boat ride we will be able to see an enormous diversity of bird species like vultures, cormorants, and herons. On our arrival, lunch will be served. Here we will have some time to relax prior to enjoying an afternoon jungle hike along an interesting trail that is located in the transition zone between the high and low jungles of the rain-forest. Here your guide will point out and describe the plant-life and wildlife that surrounds you. Following this informative nature trail hike we will of to Machu Wasi Lake where we will enjoy the experience of balsa rafting. Following the rafting we will return to the lodge, to enjoy our evening meal accompanied by the sounds of the nightlife in the rain-forest surrounding us. *The bonus activity included* Balsa Rafting: At Machu Wasi Lake you will get a chance to enjoy balsa rafting (grade I).
Day 7.- Amazon Jungle – Manu ParkAccommodation: Soga de Oro Lodge, Manu Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner with snacks On the third day in the rainforest, you need to get up very early this morning to enjoy a boat ride to Collpa, a clay wall by the river. Here you will have a great photo opportunity as you see a variety of parrots, such as the white-eyed parakeet, the blue-headed parrot, the Maracana Macaw and others that include many small mammals and others come every morning to substitute their diet with minerals and salts. After the morning tour and return boat ride, we will return to our lodge for breakfast. After breakfast and a little rest, we will then move on to explore the Madre de Dios River, to observe the many species of birds and other wildlife. Here is where we will enjoy some relaxing time while swimming in these Amazon waters. Tonight, we will enjoy our chef-preapared dinner while relaxing at our lodge catching glimpses of a wide variety of creatures that walk around the lodge. You may choose to take the optional guided night walk through the forest to catch a glimpse of the many nocturnal insects and amphibians. *The bonus activity included* Swimming in the Madre de Dios River, while viewing the beautiful landscapes of the Manu Amazon Rainforest. Day 8.- Manu Park To Cusco
Meals: Breakfast, lunch with snacks On the fourth day in the jungle, following a nourishing breakfast, we’ll pack up the gear and depart from our lodge in the Manu Preserve. We will enjoy a boat ride back to Atalaya Port where Explore Adventures Peru vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Cusco. We have lunch en route at a local restaurant and arrive back at your Cusco hotel around 6 pm.

Day 9.- . Goodbye Peru- The Last Day of the Tour
