Cultural Immersion Experience. Our overnight experience in the Peruvian village of our porters before our trek. We experienced helping harvest potatoes by hand and plowing the potato field. We were blessed to join our guides family for a mid-afternoon meal of potatoes roasted in a fire pit in the field. Dinner at the home of our head porter. Graced
by traditional Peruvian harp music played for us by his son in law while taught Peruvian dance by the children. Night spent in a Peruvian family's home and a traditional Peruvian breakfast of coca tea, Lima bean & cinnamon brewed drink (delicious, like chai tea), potatoes, roasted corn, salad.
